Scholarship

The Jang-Calderon Family Foundation awards a yearly scholarship to two underprivileged students applying or attending accredited universities in the United States. The students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be interested in the field of business administration or communications

  • Must demonstrate that they need financial assistance

  • Must have excellent grades

The JCFF has also partnered up with the respectable One Young World Summit to support young, Black and Indegenous leaders, between the ages of 18 - 30, who are leading innovative and impactful initiatives in Latin America. The Ilia Calderon Scholarship will select and fund the participation of two young leaders from Latin America to travel to the OYW summit and participate and learn from young leaders from all over the world.

The JCFF is also involved in philanthropic work in Ilia Calderon’s hometown of Istmina, Chocó, Colombia. The foundation seeks to provide educational supplies to 500 elementary school children on a yearly basis.
